Surgical 

General surgery is the surgical specialty that primarily focuses on the abdominal organs but may include many other types of surgical procedures performed on blood vessels, glands, surgical treatment, trauma surgery, skin procedures, and cancer treatment. At Unity Hospital, we provide comprehensive care for wide range disorders and diseases under the department general surgery.

The operation theatres are equipped with a high definition of Laparoscopic unit and trained Laparoscopic Surgeons conducting various G.I., Colorectal, Hernia and Gall Bladder related Laparoscopic Surgery with excellent results. Birth and Beyond, a unit of Unity Hospital is the Center of Excellence for Maternal and Child health care. It is equipped with several modern features that include centralized oxygen, nitrous-oxide supply system, air conditioning, and state of the art monitoring systems.

Outpatient care: All Obstetric related patient care

Inpatient care: Admission in the labor ward or special room for normal delivery or a cesarean section & any other minor procedures with the best possible nursing care & patient management.

Emergencies: All Obstetric emergencies including threatened abortions, complex and high-risk pregnancy, etc.

Minor procedures: All minor procedures like nonstress test, intra-uterine insemination, endometrial biopsy, copper-T insertion, copper-T removal, cervical biopsy, suction & evacuation, PAP smear, dilation-curettage, hysteroscopy, torsion procedures, etc.

Keeping this guiding principle in mind, the department of Oral health and dentistry at Unity Hospital provides preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic care of teeth and gums.

The unit has a dedicated Dental surgeon available in the outpatient department along with all the other supportive services provided by trained nurses and technicians.

Radiology

Medical imaging is a boon that gives the doctor an opportunity to look into the human body and detect any disease or anomaly.

The department of radiology is, therefore, a very important part of Unity Hospital and has developed as a Centre of Excellence by itself.

Digital X-ray

Unity Hospital is equipped with an advanced computerized digital x-ray which is available 24X7. Further, there are mobile X-ray units that are deployed at every individual floor level.

Computed Tomographic Scan or CT scan

CT scan focuses on 3-dimensional imaging of internal structures by using radiation technology. Unity Hospital is equipped with Phillips MX, 16 slice CT scan set up which is available 24X7 for all emergency work.

Ultrasound or USG

Ultrasound imaging is the gold standard imaging in the abdomen and pelvis and has the advantage of not using radiations.

Unity Hospital has a well-equipped sonology suite with state-of-the-art equipment as well as trained personnel.

Interventional radiology is the branch of radiology that involves the performance of (usually minimally invasive) medical procedures with the guidance of imaging technologies.
